Horizontal slider windows are a good choice for window openings that are wider than they are tall. This style of window is very popular in New Mexico. Horizontal sliders have one fixed panel and one operable panel and can be made to open from either side. Large windows can be made with a fixed panel in the center and an operable panel on BOTH ends. Horizontal sliding windows are triple weatherstripped to lock out dust and dirt to keep your home cleaner and more comfortable. Windows higher than 30” are equipped with two, double screwed cam locks or one Slimline auto lock. Windows under 30” will have one lock of your chosen style.
